Yes: One of the more common side-effects of Depo-Provera is irregular, unpredictable bleeding--especially in the first 6 months of use. Some women do have prolonged bleeding and it can be brown. A short course of estrogen will usually stop it if you get tired of it. This type of bleeding usually goes away after 6-12 months of use. Best wishes.
