i fell and landed on my right hip, on a metal threshold two days ago. the area hasn't bruised but itches and occasionally burns. is that normal?

Probably healing: If you are able to walk normally and have no other symptoms than what you describe as burning and itching in the area I would reassure you that it is not a serious injury. If you develop a rash or other symptoms in the next few days you should seek attention again- otherwise no treatment and be reassured
