May be injured: This sounds like an old injury to the calf muscle which may have resulted in adhesions (scarring) as part of healing. A new growth must also be ruled out. A diagnostic ultrasound can be ordered, but an MRI would be more useful. It needs to be examined. See a podiatrist, foot/ankle specialist or orthopedist.
