Generally not: Hi. Desire for sex (libido) is very complex and involves many factors. However, BCPs are not a libido suppressant. How is your relationship with your lover? Is there physical or emotional pain with sex? Are you depressed? Due to the complexity of libido, I've occasionally had patients tell me that their libido is lower on BCPs, but it's hard to find a mechanism for that. Good luck!
