Eye color: I am sure there was someone in your family with hazel, green, or blue eyes in the past. Eye color genetics is complicated with probably 15-16 different genes influencing it. The melanin content of the iris plus the light scattering produce the color. There are point mutations or polymorphisms that affect the gene regulatory system. Parental testing would probably show you were your parents' child.
