Get checked: Could be a kidney, intestine , muscular related issue . If no injury and in severe pain perhaps an emergency room or urgent care visit would be appropriate. Good luck

Herniated disc.: could be high lumbar or low thoracic disc herniation of arthritis called spondylosis. see primary care who will start you on NSAIDs (motrin) and physical therapy. If no better, MRI would be indicated-lumbar and thoracic. If all negative, could be intraabdominal process that is giving you referred pain.
