No: Although all the causes of pulmonary fibrosis are not known, infectious agents are not thought to be possible causes, so it is not contagious.

No: No, pulmonary fibrosis in general terms is idiopathic and can not be caught by other people. There are genetic factors that can predispose people to develope pulmonary fibrosis. Also enviormental factors may play a role but this is still being explored and researched.
