A member asked:

If menstrual blood from a hpv infected person was on a toilet seat, can someone else catch it?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Unlikely: Genital HPV does not infect normal skin, such as that found on the thigh or buttock, which is the area in contact with a toilet seat. The virus must come in contact with genital skin or mucous membrane.
