Infantile spasm: Yes, infantile spasm is one of epilepsy syndromes that represent in infancy, it can be symptomatic due to brain structural abnormalities or metabolic disorders, or without a definite etiology. Generally the first line of treatment is acth which is a kind of steriod that is given by im inj., the success rate is app. 65-70%, other treatments include vigabatrin and other seizure medicines.
