Probably not: two of the best, most rigorously conducted and analyzed studies done in the last few years came to nearly identical conclusions: with normal kidney fxn to begin with modern iodine contrast agents used properly do not result in more kidney problems than is seen in the general population of patients who have medical imaging. In severe kidney disease pts some caution is still needed.
