Not uncommon: Some people have reactions to the prep prior to the operation or the adhesives used after it. It goes away after several days usually. Anti-itch products like Benadryl (diphenhydramine) cream can help. If it worsens, talk to your surgeon because infection is always a possibility, but less likely given your current symptoms.
