Very complex: Probably you mean genital herpes, not oral. In the US, all STDs are more common in African Americans than other race/ethnicity groups. The reasons are complex. One factor is fewer AA men than women available for sexual relationships due to mortaility and imprisonment. Health care access too. All are echoes of historic American racism. It is NOT due to increased no's of partners versus other races.
