Doesn't make sense: If there was only one test, this doesn't make sense. Clarify the test result with your doctor. The only possibility might be if two different tests were done. If you have a new HSV-2 infection, you might have had a positive culture or PCR test from a herpes sore, but a negative blood test. It takes several weeks for the blood tests to turn positive.
