LimitsToWidalTest: A single Widal Test is is of no use in diagnosis of Typhoid Fever as there can be cross reacting infections like Malaria so there has to be fourfold increase in the titer like1in40to1in160 in the course of infection or conversion from igM raction to igG reaction at least same titer as igM The best and most reliable test is Blood Culture for Salmonella Typhi
