Treppa: treppe is a staircase effect by stimulating the muscle at a variable frequency like in a twitch but in treppe it is increasing in a step wise fashion so each time more muscles are recruited in treppe.not seen in clonus and in tetanus treppe generally caused by serotonin toxicity clonus contraction and relaxation of muscle tetanus is a chronic spasm of a muscle due to bacilus tetanus
