A member asked:

What increases the concentration of neurotransmitters in a synaptic cleft?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Disease examples: Let's use model of acetylcholine. In Alzheimer's disease we give meds called acetylcholinesterases, which block chemical that breaks down transmitter, and enhances communication. In myasthenia gravis, we have similar approaches to maintain nerve/ muscle interactions. Why do you ask? Is there a condition that needs attention?
