A member asked:

What do the heart sounds represented by "lubb-dupps" represent?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Heart sounds: The heart sounds are produced by the deceleration of the blood columns associated with closure of the AV valves and the aortic/pulmonary valves. The first heart sound is the AV valve closure and the second is the aortic/pulmonary valve closure.
