Same but different: Generally there are speech/language deficits, social interaction difficulties, altered patterns of thinking/processing, sensory integration difficulties, and possibly stereotypical movements. The spectrum of presentation of these difficulties is HUGE and every person with ASD is a little different. Think Rain Main on the lower end of functioning and Sheldon from Big Bang Theory on the high end.
