Varies: In a clinical setting we expect genital warts to appear within months of exposure to wart producing strains of HPV. There are some settings where it may not emerge for longer. When taken before exposure, the vaccine can help protect against 2 of the wart producing strains that cause most genital warts. Any person exposed to wart strains can develop them if they are not immune.
