It might: She took it right away which is a good thing. It's possible that it may not work given her weight. She can ask her doctor for a prescription for another emergency contraceptive pill called Ella (ulipristal acetate) to keep at home in case she needs it in the future. Ella (ulipristal acetate) may be more effective for women with higher body weights. But Plan B is her best bet over the counter.
