Uterine bleeding: Abnormal uterine bleeding is bleeding that occurs with abnormal quantity, duration or timing. In your case abnormal timing. The most common causes in non-pregnant women include fibroids, polyps, blood disorders, anovulation (ovary dysfunction), and neoplasia (less common). Please see your gynecologist. Pelvic exam needed first, blood count, then probably a sonogram.
