Likely OK: Your period can vary quite a bit from cycle to cycle. 4 days early is not terribly uncommon. "Normal" bleeding can range from light pink spotting to heavy bright red flow, to clots, to dark red / brown drainage. Unless you have a fever or are using more than 1 pad or tampon an hour, you are probably ok!
