If...: If you are having significant pelvic pain which is constant, and if having also vaginal discharge then it is definitely recommended that you see your gynecologist to check for causes like infection, ovarian cysts, even pregnancy( to verify you can take home pregnancy test), among others.

Likely mittleschmerz: Many women feel small pains around ovulation, before-during-or after - its called mittleschmerz. There are some abnormal causes of pain around ovulation but most often it's normal. If pain is mild-to-moderate you can use Advil or Tylenol (acetaminophen) and observe. If you feel the pain is worse than this, calling your doctor would be a good idea, though usually no emergency. Good wishes.
