Maybe nothing: If this is the only situation w/ such confusion - it's possibly nothing but momentary anxiety. But if it does occur a bit elsewhere too, it may be a very early very minimal decline in cognitive function. Again, it's not likely - but may be possible. Ask your Dr to help you keep track and evaluate. Early treatment is recommended if this is early-onset dementia. It's not likely. Best!

Gerstmann's syndrome: This is a confusion of left and right caused by brain lesion. There is also directional dyslexia which should not have an abrupt onset.
