2 months late: Home pregnancy tests are very accurate when used as directed once you're late (more than 4 weeks since last period). By the time you're 2 months late, test shouldn't be faint anymore. If you're concerned about pregnancy, have family doc confirm negative test then prescribe hormonal contraception. If you don't want sexually transmitted infections, make him wear condom each & every time, too.

Usual easy to read: Sometimes, very early in pregnancy, a HPT can be "equivocal", that is, neither clearly negative or clearly positive. However, the level of the pregnancy hormone HCG (which the HPT detects) rises so fast in the first few months (exponentially) that it shouldn't be equivocal now. It's time to see a doctor and find out for certain why you're not having periods. Best wishes.
