My dad is very heathy (no drinking or smoking, exercises 5x/wk), he just started taking 2 advil (ibuprofen) a night and he said it helps him sleep. healthy?

Depends: Advil (ibuprofen) is an NSAID like aspirin etc. It can affect blood clotting, may cause stomach ulcers and a few other side effects. It sounds like he has a sleep disorder & instead of taking a drug to sleep it would be wise to consult a sleep disorder specialist. Have his ask his family doc for a referral

Use for a short time, even a few months, is not likely to do harm, but he should see his doctor to get an evaluation and proper treatment.
