A member asked:

At 9weeks pregnant do my baby suppose to be 12cm and be able to move his or her arms?? i believe my doctors mistaken my dates do to my late period.

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Something's wrong: At 9 weeks the hight of a baby (fetus) is referred to as crown-rump length and is about 20 millimeters. There are no movements of the limbs, yet, at that gestational age. 12 cm is closer to 16 weeks, and yes, at that gestational age you may see the baby move arms and legs on ultrasound.
