Thyroid: An enlarged thyroid gland is exactly what it says. If your thyroid gland is not enlarged or painful do not be too concerned. If it is enlarged or painful your doctor will take your history, examine you, and order appropriate labs. An enlarged thyroid does occur occasionally in young me, but not too often.
