Yes: Verruca is a fancy way to say genital warts. They are often caused by hpv, which is a type of std. Be sure to use condoms to prevent the spread of hpv. It can cause cervical cancer in women.

Warts: 'verruca' is a general term for warts, which are caused by different strains of hpv; common warts are most commonly types 2 & 4; genital warts/condylomata/verrucae accuminata most commonly by types 6 & 11 (low risk for cancer) or by types 16 & 18 (high risk). Many other hpv types can be associated with these, but these are the most common. Ask fp to explain lab report & significance.
