A member asked:

Is a stretchy cervical mucus (at least 5 cm) all cycle long a cause for concern? i ovulate and have no infection. other symptoms: pms and cramps.

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Cervical mucus all: It does seem unusual that you have cervical mucus discharge throughout your cycle since it is a result of estrogen stimulation of the glands. Estrogen peaks prior to ovulation, and is lower the rest of the cycle. I would be surprised if you are ovulatory,, but I see no danger is prolonged cervical mucus discharge.
