Not if supervised: Because escalators keep moving, they can be a problem if a child falls or puts fingers, toes, clothes, shoelaces or toys where they can get pinched, pulled or trapped. As long as a child holds on to an adult and stays standing up on the escalator, it should not be risky. At the top, the child should be helped off so that they won't fall when they step on the floor that isn't moving.
