It varies: Anybody can have a wet dream (nocturnal orgasm). They are more common in men. Unresolved sexual tension or stimulation makes it more likely for you to have a wet dream. More frequent intercourse or masturbation may help. The good news, is they are not harmful. No side effects.

Ejaculation at night: Usually refers to men & beyond puberty and are emissions of semen whist subject is asleep. Result in sticky wet patch inside pjs or on the sheets. Usually associated with erotic dreams. There is steady production of semen after puberty, which if not released by masturbation or sex results in wet dreams. More common in post-pubertal boys & less as the male ages.
