What is teledermatology?

See below: It is a sub-specialization of telemedicine. In teledermatology, the doctor views the dermatologic condition in question by video camera and after interviewing the patient, comes up with a diagnosis and treatment plan. If a diagnosis cannot be made, then he/she will refer the patient for further testing (e.g. Biopsy).
