Drugs.: Atropine is a drug given intravenously to increase heart rate. There are many oral agents which can lower heart rate, predominately beta blockers (propanolol, atenolol, metoprolol, carvediolol, e.t.c) and non-dihydropyridine calcium channel blockers (diltiazem, verapamil)
