Dr. James Lin answered

Here are some...: Trigonitis has been overused to describe the finding of pebble-like nodule & white coating (squamous metaplasia) seen on the trigone of the bladder as seen on cystorethroscopy. These findings are almost exclusively seen in females and their clinical significance remains unclear & speculative. its care ranges from doing nothing to fulguration; at times, antibiotics is used with uncertain outcome.
