What is the strongest pain killer available?

Dr. Mitchell Cohn answered

Depends: Depends on source/cause of pain.Strongest narcotic regularly used is probably Fentanyl which does not come as a pill, but as a patch.Oxycodone & combinations of it like Percodan/Percocet come as a pill-but even these aren't as good as simple ibuprofen for some types of pain that are inflammatory. Also, some people just respond better to one med than another.Talk w/your dr. if you need pain relief.
