A member asked:

What is the nerve of latarjet? is it preserved in a vagotomy?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Branch of vagus n.: The nerve of Latarjet or the posterior nerve of the lesser curvature is a branch of the anterior vagal trunk which supplies the pylorus. It is preserved in a selective or highly selective vagotomy but not a truncal vagotomy. I hope this helps. Good luck and well wishes.
