What is it called when people harm themselves for attention? is this a condition?

Self harm = self: mutilation. This is not a diagnosis - but rather a behavior. I know of no psychiatric term that encompasses this particular description. The term "parasuicidal behavior" or "suicide gesture" have at times been used when some form or self-harm has occurred with the reason often being a cry for help or attempt to get attention.
