A member asked:

What is an air pocket by your heart? what causes it?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Air pocket: Not sure what you really want to know. The lungs are full of air pockets all around the heart. The stomach is near the heart and generally has air in it. Esophageal hiatal hernia can have air in it near the heart. Abnormal lung cysts can be near the heart, abnormal pneumothorax can be near the heart, I'm sure there are more, your question isn't worded in a way a specific answer can be given
