A member asked:

What is a good decongestant for bronchitis?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Bronchitis: None. Decongestants will dry the airway out more probably causing more coughing. Need to drink at least 2 quarts of clear fluids per day, More if hot environment. Can take robitussin, guaifenesin, No smoking or alcohol. No mouthwash as they all have alcohol which dries airway. If persistent, need chest x-ray and to see internist
