There are multiple: Influenza viruses (for example: H3N2 & H1N1). Developing antibodies to one type of flu does not guarantee that you will be protected against a different flu virus.

Flu symptoms: Lot of viral illnesses are commonly psoekn of as "flu", e.g. Fever, myalgia, runny nose, cough, sore throat, etc. Flu per se could have different strains as well so if you had the flu with one strrain you could still get scik from another strain.
