Possibly: Protected sex implies the use of a condom; however, if you are not also using a reliable form of birth control, there is a possibility of pregnancy any time you have sex. Condoms are the best protection for sexually transmitted diseases (STD), but are not reliable birth control. Reliable birth control methods include pills, Depo-provera shots, IUD, and abstinence. Sperm are pretty good swimmers.
