See PCP: There have been 2 articles published suggesting a potential risk to stroke and cardiac disease, these were poorly written articles and refuted by many authorities in the field at the last AUA annual meeting. If there are any concerns about cardiac or carotid arterial disease please see your PCP and have them assess your symptoms and based on their exam exam and assessment go from there.
