Acne pigmentation: Azelaic acid belongs to a class of drugs known as dicarboxylic acids. Azelaic acid gel is a topical antibacterial used for treating mild to moderate acne rosacea. It does not fade or reduce post-inflammatory hyper pigmentation that is existing. However, effective treatment of inflammatory acne can reduce the incident of pigmentation. You will need to consult your dermatologist and use sunscreen.
