C-section: The current 'standard' incision for non-emergent C-Section is a horizontal incision about 6 inches above the pubic bone. For some really emergent C-sections (and for some repeat C-sections in hyper obese/diabetic women) A vertical incision is used. Talk to your OB surgeon. Its unlikely it was a 'mishap'.
