A doctor has provided 1 answer

Pinguecula, usually: A pinguecula is usually located on the sclera at the 3:00 or 9:00 position on the eye. It can be flat or raised, and sometimes has a yellowish appearance, which leads to the common term "chicken fat" for it. It is harmless, is not cancerous or precancerous, but sometimes can get inflamed. It is degeneration of elastic tissue beneath the conjunctiva. They are usually not removed unless severe.
