Family planning: When used properly condoms have a 2% failure rate for preventing pregnancy. In young inexperienced hands, condoms can have an 18% failure rate. So the short answer is, "No, you will not for sure get your period", because there's always a CHANCE to get pregnant when you have sex. If you miss your period, you should take a pregnancy test. See your gynecologist or Planned Parenthood for more info.

Periods: nothing is 100% especially in your age group. At age 16, many don't even have regular periods. The better question is will you not get pregnant. Birth control methods used properly are between 95-99 % effective. If you miss you period then take a home pregnancy test, they are very accurate. Good job for using protection!
