Normal finding: Ovarian cysts are very common in women of childbearing age. Most women have ovarian cysts at some time during their lives. Each month, a follicle is formed in one ovary. At the time of ovulation, an egg is released from the follicle. Sometimes a normal follicle keeps growing resulting in a follicular cyst. If the report does not mention polycystic ovaries, you should not be concerned.
