Spotting is normal: Spotting or abnormal bleeding is an expecting feature of Depo-Provera (medroxyprogesterone) Provera (medroxyprogesterone). You may find after a few more shots that you periods stop entirely. If the bleeding is troubling, speak with your physician as there are other causes of bleeding. You may need to find an alternative contraceptive if this interferes with love making.
