Maybe: If you have campylobacter the pepto bismol (bismuth subsalicylate) is part of a treatment regimen. Have you had a bx or blood test for this.? Peptobismol will help the symptoms but will not resolve the problem. To eradicate is complex and needs multiple meds.

Bismuth subsalicylat: I can't say. However, it should not be given to children or teens.
